PONS, Dami� (Campanet, Mallorca, 1950)

Poeta i assagista. Doctor en Filologia Catalana, és professor titular a la Universitat de les Illes Balears i activista cultural. Ha estat l’impulsor de la revista Latitud 39º i actualment dirigeix la revista Lluc. L’any 2001 aplegà la seva obra poètica inèdita i publicada sota el títol Els mapes del desig (Moll). Com a assagista destaquen Entre l’afirmació individualista i la desfeta col·lectiva (Abadia de Montserrat, 2002), Premi Serra d’Or, 2003; l’assaig El jonc i l’aritja: País, cultura, política (Lleonard Muntaner, 2006) i Lectures i reflexions (Lleonard Muntaner, 2006). És col·laborador habitual de diverses publicacions com Última Hora, El Mirall o Serra d’Or i, el 2004, va merèixer el Premi Cavall Verd a la seva trajectòria.

Lyriker und Essayist. Doktor in Katalanischer Philologie, ordentlicher Professor an der Universität der Balearen und Kulturaktivist. Begründer der Zeitschrift Latitud 39º und derzeitiger Chefredakteur der Zeitschrift Lluc. Im Jahr 2001 erschienen seine veröffentlichten und bislang unveröffentlichten Gedichte unter dem Titel Die Landkarten des Begehrens (Moll). Unter seinen Essays sind besonders zu erwähnen: Zwischen individueller Bestätigung kollektiver Auflösung (Abadia de Montserrat, 2002), ausgezeichnet mit dem Premi Serra d’Or, 2003; Binse und Stechwinde: Land, Kultur, Politik (Lleonard Muntaner, 2006) und Lektüren und Reflexionen (Lleonard Muntaner, 2006). Pons Pons schreibt regelmäßig für verschiedene Zeitschriften wie Última Hora, El Mirall oder Serra d‘Or. 2004 wurde ihm für sein Lebenswerk der Preis Cavall Verd verliehen.

Poet and essayist. Holding a PhD in Catalan Philology, he is an Associate Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands and is very active in the cultural arena. He was the driving force behind the magazine Latitud 39º and is currently director of Lluc magazine. In 2001 he published a collection of his works of poetry under the title Maps of Desire (Moll). His non-fiction writings include Between Individualistic Affirmation and Collective Undoing (Abadia de Montserrat, 2002), which won the Serra d’Or Prize, 2003; the essay The Reed and the Bindweed: Country, Culture, Politics (Lleonard Muntaner, 2006); and Lectures and Reflections (Lleonard Muntaner, 2006). He is a regular contributor to numerous magazines including Última Hora, El Mirall and Serra d’Or and, in 2004, was awarded the Cavall Verd Prize for his work.
