POMAR, Jaume (Palma de Mallorca, 1943)

Poeta. Va cursar periodisme i la seva vida professional ha anat sempre lligada a l’activitat cultural. Com a poeta s’inicià amb Tota la ira dels justos (Daedalus, 1967), Premi Ciutat de Palma, Amb la mort amorosament (Daedalus, 1971) i Història personal, Premi Ciutat de Palma 1970. Després d’uns anys de silenci apareixen Elegies (Gregal, 1986), Carisma del desert (Moll, 1987) o Imatge de la por (Columna, 1988), Premi Grandalla de poesia. El 1992 publicà una antologia personal amb Retorn a casa (Tià de Sa Real), a la qual seguiren els títols Frontissa (Moll, 1993) o La sínia de les hores (El Tall, 1997). La seva poesia es caracteritza per la reflexió existencial i per l’actitud rebel davant la societat. Com a estudiós de Villalonga ha publicat entre altres La raó i el meu dret: biografia de Llorenç Villalonga (Moll, 1995) i Llorenç Villalonga: cartes i articles: temps de preguerra (1914-1936) (Moll, 1998).

Dichter. Journalismus-Studium, berufliche Tätigkeiten im kulturellen Bereich. Für seinen ersten Gedichtband Der Gerechten ganzer Zorn (Daedalus, 1967) erhielt er den Preis der Stadt Palma; ihm folgten Mit dem Tod, voll Liebe (Daedalus, 1971) und Persönliche Geschichte, Preis der Stadt Palma 1970. Nach einer Zeit ohne Veröffentlichungen kamen in den 1980er Jahren dann Elegien (Gregal, 1986), Wüsten-Charisma (Moll, 1987) und Angstbilder (Columna, 1988), Grandalla-Preis für Poesie, heraus. 1992 veröffentlichte er eine persönliche Anthologie unter dem Titel Heimkehr (Tià de Sa Real), im Folgejahr Scharnier (Moll, 1993) und Das Stundenrad (El Tall, 1997). Seine Lyrik zeichnet sich durch existenzielle Betrachtungen und eine rebellische Haltung gegenüber der Gesellschaft aus. Aus den Ergebnissen seiner Recherchen zum Autor Villalonga veröffentlichte er unter anderem Die Gründe und mein Recht: Biografie von Llorenç Villalonga (Moll, 1995), sowie Llorenç Villalonga: Briefe und Aufsätze: Vor dem Krieg (1914-1936) (Moll, 1998).

Poet. Jaume Pomar studied journalism and his life has always been tied to cultural activity. As a poet he began with All the Anger of the Just Ones (Daedalus, 1967), winner of the Ciutat de Palma Prize, With Death Lovingly (Daedalus, 1971) and Personal History, winner of the Ciutat de Palma Prize in 1970. After a number of years in silence Elegies (Gregal, 1986), Desert Charisma (Moll, 1987) and Image of Fear (Columna, 1988), winner of the Grandalla Prize for poetry, appeared. In 1992 he published Return to Home (Tià de Sa Real), a personal anthology that was followed by the titles Frontissa (Moll, 1993) and The Waterwheel of the Hours (El Tall, 1997). His poetry is characterized by existential reflection and a rebelious attitude before society. As a scholar of Villalonga he has published, among others, Reason and My Right: Biography of Llorenç Villalonga (Moll, 1995) and Llorenç Villalonga: Letters and Articles: Time Before the War (1914-1936) (Moll, 1998).
