Poeta i traductora. Llicenciada en Filosofia per la Universitat de València i professora d’ensenyament secundari a Gandia. Es dóna a conèixer amb el seu primer poemari, Flexo (Gregal, 1988), guardonat amb el Premi Senyoriu d’Ausiàs March (1987). L’any següent rep el Premi Vicent Andrés Estellés amb Les hores (Eliseu Climent/3i4, 1988). Més tard publica Curriculum Vitae (Eumo / Cafè Central, 1996) i amb El temps en ordre (Proa, 2002) obté el Premi Crítica Serra d’Or de poesia. Ha traduït de l’alemany, amb Karin Shepers, L’enfonsament del Titànic, de Hans Magnus Enzensberger (Alfons el Magnànim, 1993) i Poesia completa, d’Ingeborg Bachmann (València, 1995). Juntament amb Lluïsa Julià ha escrit l’assaig Vosaltres paraules: vint-i-cinc anys de poesia al País Valencià (Bromera, 2003).
Dichterin und Übersetzerin. Nach Studienabschluss in Philosophie an der Universität Valencia wurde sie Lehrerin an einer weiterführenden Schule in Gandia. Schon mit ihrem ersten Gedichtband Flexo (Gregal, 1988), ausgezeichnet mit dem Preis Senyoriu d’Ausiàs March (1987), erregte sie Aufmerksamkeit. Im Folgejahr erhielt sie den Preis Vicent Andrés Estellés mit Die Stunden (Eliseu Climent/3i4, 1988). Später folgte Curriculum Vitae (Eumo / Cafè Central, 1996) und Geordnete Zeit (Proa, 2002), für das sie den Lyrikpreis Crítica Serra d’Or erhielt. Zusammen mit Karin Shepers übersetzte sie aus dem Deutschen Der Untergang der Titanic von Hans Magnus Enzensberger (Alfons el Magnànim, 1993) und Gesammelte Gedichte von Ingeborg Bachmann (Valencia, 1995). Gemeinsam mit Lluïsa Julià verfasste sie 2003 den Essay Ihr Worte: 25 Jahre Poesie im Land von Valencia (Bromera, 2003).
Poet and translator. Teresa Pascual has a degree in Philosophy from the University of Valencia and is a secondary school teacher in Gandia. She introduced herself with her first book of poems, Flexo (Gregal, 1988), winner of the Senyoriu d’Ausiàs March Prize (1987). The following year she received the Vicent Andrés Estellés Prize with The Hours (Eliseu Climent/3i4, 1988). She has translated from German with Karin Shepers, Hans Magnus Enzensberger’s The Sinking of the Titanic (Alfons el Magnànim, 1993) and Ingebord Bachmann’s Complete Poetry (València, 1955). Together with Lluïsa Julià she has written the essay Our words: Twenty-Five Years of Complete Poetry in the Lands of Valencia (Bromera, 2003).
